The West side of Guelph has been growing exponentially since the late 70’s – early 80’s and continues to rival the South end in current commercial development. Super stores including Costco, Zehrs and the future site for Lowes dominate the retail space and continue to attract young families with a thirst for consumerism. I have broken down this area into 3 extended neighbourhoods; Sugarbush/Marksam, West Acres/Imperial South, and Willow West, just east of Hanlon.
